Donor Experience Manager

Purpose: The Donor Experience Manager is responsible for fulfilling a key aspect of We Are Blood’s mission: ensuring we treat everyone we serve as family. The Donor Experience Manager will serve as a donor liaison specialist, customer service coach, and community events point person.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and facilitate the training of a We Are Blood staff in customer service (the “We Are Blood Donor Experience”), through onboard trainings and regular refresh trainings.
  • Develop customer service trainings and revise annually to adapt to changing organizational priorities and strategies.
  • Maintain a regular presence at We Are Blood donor centers and mobile drives to engage with donors, share gratitude, and provide education on the importance of blood donation. Utilize donation site visits as an opportunity to coach and inspire frontline staff.
  • Conduct and manage tours of the We Are Blood facility.
  • Identify, coordinate, and manage We Are Blood’s presence at external community outreach events. Manage logistics, including scheduling, staffing, stocking, delivery/retrieval, & maintenance of the We Are Blood’s community outreach Airstream trailer, the “Bloodstream”.
  • Deliver blood donation educational presentations for blood drive locations, at community events, and for prospective blood drive hosts.
  • Identify opportunities for increasing community awareness for We Are Blood through the development of community relationships, events, and activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and community partners to develop swag and materials for community outreach events.
  • Attend local chamber meetings and other networking events to identify and secure prospective partners.
  • Develop and manage relationships with prospective community partners as identified from research, team goals and networking events.   
  • Support needs related to promotions, and secure commitments when appropriate.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of applicable We Are Blood strategies and goals and how they address the community needs.
  • When appropriate, serve as media spokesperson for We Are Blood.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Management.
  • ·        Some travel required.

Education requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience requirements
Require 5 – 7 years of professional experience in blood banking, management, or coaching.
Minimum of 2-3 years management and/or team lead experience required.
Qualifications
Must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid Texas driver’s license, proof of vehicle insurance, and an acceptable driving record. Must be able to provide reliable personal transportation.

Work hours
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings.
